Moving on frm birthdays, lets tok abt the recent issue of having too much foreign students in schools. Well, i totally agree with it. They say its 20 per cent but what the hell, i think its like half. You might have seen every other singaporean in your course. China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, so many. I dun mind ang mohs cos i think they are used to a laid back life so when they come here they are probably struggling.. with their studies and with the weather also. Its getting so hot at nights. Malaysians are also fine. I got no complains. Since they are so smart might as well start a new university called " FUS " equalivent to Foreign University of Singapore. All these pple can go there can compete.
I am always not a big fan of competition unless its regarding food or some thing which i can benefit immediately from like join some game and win prizes. NOT STUDYING.

Birthdays n Such Part 3!!!!

was quite shocked at everyone's posts abt birthdays n such... getting quite philosphical n emotional... hee hee... for my take... nothing much for each birthday too... got past the age i guess... but i would think each birthday is a gd way for everyone to get together and as for the bday person... just a day for him to be happy ... not tat he shdnt be happy on other days... haha...

anyway we have spend ard 1/3 of our lives on this world already ... so wats next to come??? hee hee...

nothing interesting happening in school... except maybe the wong chee tat incident... but i m curious to see how he is now... take a pic n maybe post up .... haha ... as for the NUS pple... no one seem to see Jimmy Soh anymore?? Life's like tat

Well Updates on interesting things first.

SHOCK OF THE DAY : Sent in by Kevin Poon.
His sms read " WONG CHEE TAT is in my lecture group. Oh God, Help"
Well i pray to god for him, asking for forgiveness so that he would not unleash his
fury on us in the form of retribution. For non-believers the world jus works in this way,
the cosmo and stuff. I am not really into it.

Well Wong Chee Tat is back to haunt the daylights out of us. He is in NTU. For those in NUS, i feel very happy for you pple. For those in NTU and HAPPEN to meet him, i would wish that we all suddenly have a case of acute amnesia and a change of name. Huh i have never seen u before in my entire life. Or worse still, Its so bright i can't SEE with accordance to what he usually says. The best way to get back at some one is to give a taste of their own medicine but then again "Its so bright that I can't see " seems a bit far fetched. In fact, i am wondering whether one fine day, i would see kevin poon and wong chee tat become best of friends, hand over the shoulder walking down the lanes of NTU. A sight to behold however, i hope i will not see that particular situation . i would rather have a cardic arrest but not die.. At least looking at 4 white walls would be better

Well, lifes like tat, reading Jack's post made me realise i'm not the only one who the same thoughts on birthdays. A contradiction if i may add, I always hope everyone forgets my birthday but on the day if pple wished me, i would be happy but if they don't then i feel well wouldn't it be nice to jus fade away cos no one cares. The next day, everything seems so childish to me. Well it was jus yet another day.

Another thing i wanted to post, our "dear" prime minister came to NTU for the celebrations and delivered a "WONDERFUL" speech. I am speechless. What right does he have to condemn NTU. Even though i not a big fan of the university and stuff but then the way he put his words meant tat NTU is pathetic and useless. I strongly disaggree. He asked the question " So would NTU be like Havard or MIT". What crap is that. Y do we have to be like them? I feel we r fine the way we are. Then he says you have to decide on which direction. The school management spent like billions of dollars creating a bioscience buliding as well as currently building a arts and humanities buliding. Spend so much and he says jus concentrate on technology like MIT. Y if NUS can house so many variety of courses, y can't NTU. He is bias. Then he mentions we have to catch up to NUS and other universities to become world class. Other universities i understand but Y NUS? No offence to pple in NUS but i dun think there is much of a difference between the universities. Somemore they making NTU independant as in no government aids dun know starting from when but this lectuerer was complaining to us about going to have lack of funds. If that is the case, what rights does he got to downplay NTU since he is going to cut our funding other than the fact that he is the Prime Minister

Ah hao(not our vaness ah hao...hurhur) definitely deserved that sentence, although I feel that not many people see or feel that life imprisonment is actually a lot worse than the death sentence. Then again SG isn't like the US of A where the gahmen is rich enuf to keep their inmates fed and alive for a lifetime...

For those who disagree with me saying that life sentence >> death sentence, feel free to leave comments hor.

So anyways, there's this indian girl in my project group that i think is a good match with our dear valli. She's acceptable even by my racist chinese standards, so i tink valli would most likely die cock stand if he sees her. heheh.

A note on birthdays a few posts back by valli...I feel the same nonchalance for my own birthday, for one. The last birthday i actually celebrated with a party with guests and gifts and all that shit was when I was 8. As I continue to wither every year, i come to realise that birthdays are more often than not a cheap and badly disguised way of asking people for presents that you don't actually deserve. Is getting one step closer to your eventual demise really that worth celebrating?

With old people it's different. When i say old, it should be around the 60's...when you celebrate birthdays then it's to congratulate yourself for still being alive, still clinging on to this material world, that makes the so called celebration justified. My grandpa (mother's side) was 80 when he passed away, and his birthdays were rather something. Not that I was applauding his efforts in refuting death, but being able to spend nearly a century on this world is quite a feat by itself. He died of stomach cancer.

Anyways you get the idea. What's the purpose of celebrating a birthday after you hit puberty besides the reasons I have already stated previously? I haven't received a birthday present since my last "party" nor will I ever give one of my own accord. The mythos of celebrating one's 21st birthday is also something that eludes me. Besides being able allowed by the gahmen to watch R(A) films and voting privileges, are there any other boons that accompany your 21st passing that is actually worth celebrating for? You can drive at 18. Legal age of consent for sex and marriage for girls and boys in singapore is 14 and 18 respectively. What's left?

A birthday party especially, has nothing to do with actually celebrating your inevitable deterioration. It is an excuse, rather. A means to an end...the emphasis is on the second word, 'party'. Unsociable people like me don't go to par-tays, they don't fit my style man. Yea, that's right. Not my STYLE. hurhur.

The concept of a birthday is too deeply ingrained in our cultures for us to do anything about it. However, if sg gahmen was more like the commie chinese they could pass a law and abolish birthdays altogether.

Come and gone ... woooshh...

Whats with birthdays? Celebrating is one thing but its a constant reminader that you a yr older again. Nothing happy about celebrating the fact you are getting older. Its fun cos you get to meet or hear from old friends once every year that is if they bother. After that day, life resumes with the fact that i am a yr older and have more responsibilites. I prefer being the carefree life (childhood or teenage yrs) where there is nothing to worry abt or work for. I dun know abt those who in RI or SJI or top notch schools where their first priority must have been .. STUDY STUDY.
Anyway would like to wish Kelvin Happy Birthday again. Not being sacarstic abt what i jus said earlier on.
We went to this posh restraunt called "My Secret Garden". Well who needs posh dining ? not a person like me with a big tummy. Anyway i am growing fatter. This might bring happiness to some for reasons which i dun know. On to the issue. why dun they jus put a direct path to the enterence? They made the way look like it was an outward bound training centre. They put ropes in all direction and i thought we had to like navigate ourselves through the ropes to get to the other side. Considering my size, i had an immediate dislike to the place. But happily, there was another way thru.
Next inside the place. Service i felt was horrible. The entire duration i was there there were no other pple except for 1 couple. Know where they put us. The table by the door. BY THE DOOR. What the heck. I am a paying customer. Think i will run away without paying? The service gal was like looking at us wif contempt. I think she thought we were young kids first time there. I think i older than her loh. Se bei sian. This again put me off.
Like i was saying earlier, who needs fine dining? the food came.. it was a below average size of serving. The food, i had no complains. Well, the entire experience wif fine dining was not very well going for me.
Before dinner, we went to the new library at bugis. Awesome except for the fact only one level out of the 14 levels could we borrow boooks. somemore its the basement. Errr.. well nice planning by whoever planned the place. The view from the top levels was wonderful. The escalator was sensored. WOW . if you go near it, it will start moving . Interesting. Seeing it for the first time. Many of you might start to wonder whether i come frm any rural place but it was the first time i seen the sensorized escalators. Moving on, we went to the reference section. The security guard asked us to put our bags in the locker. Fine.. I saw this locker with a one 20 cent coin picture so i thought orr the thing cost 20 cent to lock. We tried and tried until the security guard came to say oh.. its 2X 20 cents. its a mid size locker. Err What the heck ... then put it properly lah ... But the most interesting thing was, most of the pple inside had bags, ranging from different sizes and colours. Well, do we look like terrorist? ( i definitely din not seem like one if that is what u r thinking) . Anyway its huge but cannot borrow much ... they jus moved all the books into the reference section. Wats the use of a library when you cannot borrow what you want?
The day ended by going to play pool and eating supper at Carl's jr. I'm impressed. Burgers are big. Now i understand y ang mohs are huge and big cos they eat big meals.

Sidenotes : Kelvin's phrase of the day was (not exact but had this meaning) " There is no point leaving a library if you never sit on the cushion chairs" by the way, there was this girl sitting on the chair beside him.

Rising Star

Hihi again,

interesting issue but most of you all know liao all thanks to qiu rui .... Richel. He is now currently acting in a gay play (theatre play not play wif gays). Well he does play wif gays . He is suppose to be intimate wif another guy or gay who knows. The play's background setting is in Heaven (to be exact the gates of Heaven) where i think richel is rejected by another guy cos that guy loves another guy. Triangular gay love. Second time i am hearing it. First time was in camp. Let yr memories float back to ARMY. In Bunk 1. No offense meant to guys who were involved. If it causes u mental disstress, all i can say it .. too bad .. hehe. Well Our up and coming star is doing this play for the gay and lesbian society. Lets wish him luck for the future in what ever he becomes.

Corrections

Well, let me start by saying err, most i repeat MOST of wat Qiu Rui say was true. But the actual fact abt the CHEE HONG guy right .. tat one was Kelvin and soley kelvin.

The actually story was like this .. at least my version. The lecturer got this problem. Every lesson also wan to call out every single person to take attendance. ONE BY ONE. Then he got this pronauncation problem. Just give out the damn list. I was making fun of the way he was saying the name loh. Then kelvin joined in say got this guy called CHEE HONG .. then he added KIA . Well which part does it indicate that it was my problem?

Continuing, then got break during that seminar so we went to buy drink. Then Qiu rui went to toilet .. suddenly the CHEE HONG guy walked past us. We two cannot stop laughing ... kelvin was the worse. Laugh until cannot drink his Coke. Very bad eh he... but then so am i.

Qiu rui went to make new specs. Theree he met a gal ( the store assistant). Love at first sight. At least on his side. Yesterday when he went to collect the specs, he told himself he needed to make a move. 6 star resort - Villa Valliappan

PM said a few days back on building even more resorts in the Marina area right? Valli should start a resort or at least propose his name for it. Villa Valliappan...or just Villa Valli. Indian only resort, non indians would have to paint themselves before being allowed in. An indoor replica of the ganges river would flow through the lobby, allowing guests to wallow in the yellow nutrient-rich water while waiting to be checked in...utensils outlawed and free coconut oil for everyone. I can't wait!

Again, another boring day at school. Had yong tau foo for lunch again, this time soup+ rice!

Saw a big deer man student eating cai fan sitting at the table next to me...that guy was chuggin rice like his life depended on it. I mean, he only had 2 entrees, some kind of meat and a veggie, yet the way he was spooning rice into his mouth left me speechless. He even got up and went back to the stall for a refill halfway! A biological weapon that eradicates grain would have more effect than a nuklear bomb on China...

Oh anyone noticed mr yip's msn tag? seems like he managed to break his own personal record. 1.5k in mobile phone bills...I salute him! Heil!

Today our subject matter will be our dear indian friend... VILLA... (no spelling error here)

lets start w yesterday's tutorial lesson... our dear tutor told us a story abt chicken n eagle... it goes something like this.... there is this chicken training centre where all the chicks learn how to be chicken... n in this batch ... there is this black chick(who was an eagle, somehow got mixed up w chicks) who asks the trainer the bird that is flying in the sky. No chicken trainer answered him until the chief trainer told him it was "ALMIGHTY" in the sky... so he kindly assumed he was chicken although he was a eagle... MORAL OF THE STORY: u can also SOAR in the sky... ask us to think out of the box... the eagle did not soar because everyone told him he was chicken...

so from then on... valli kept saying he was the EAGLE...

REASON????

Today during another tutorial lesson... he was making fun of the names of his fellow indians as well as some of the others in class... OMG!!! How rude can he get.... so here goes....

pretty girl got prettier! wooo...

today i had yong tau foo, 6 pieces with noodle, dry. 2 pieces of plain tofu, 1 fried fishcake ball thing, 1 bundle of mystery green leaves, 1 piece of fried tao gi and half a century egg for lunch.

then i had a glass of mountain dew. bought a sugar donut which i ate at abt 1pm during lecture break.

then at 5pm buai tahan bought a blueberry swiss roll. not bad, 70 cents only and quite big!



wondering what pretty girl i'm talking about? muahahahhaa! all i'll say is that she's quite pretty and has a POWERFUL and BIG background man....dun praypray. old jc fren had his eyes on her since last sem, wonder how he doing...heheh.

Welll Qiu rui was down wif a monday blues headache and Kelvin is still MIA ... prob it would be better if he KIA. I think he is down wif leg pain or is in Johor (currently his favourite hangout place)

YEs it's me again! Hijacking this blog from time to time, haha!

Turns out i DO have something to write about, just last week one of my project modules finalised the list of 4 group members for each team, and i got lucky enough to be teamed with someone i know and 2 other fellas. One is a PRC scholar(good! haha) and the other - according to our resident viet expert - is a viet girl!!1 w00t!!!!!11!!

So yeah last tuesday was kindof excited to meet the viet gal on my team. Went there 15 mins late, met my fren, and saw the 3rd member, the prc scholar...a guy. With a name like Zhu Mi one can always hope, yeah? Well anyways the viet girl wasn't there yet and the 3rd mystery member was a guy...

we waited while they briefed us on the stupid project (build a goddam amphibious vehicle, last sem was just a boat and the sem b4 that a car, now it's 2 in 1!!! wtf), but after the briefing she still didn't turn up. So we sat down and discussed wat to do first.

SUUDDEENLY the door burst open and this person fell down at the open door. I didnt see who it was cos it happened quite fast...just a BOOM and i turned to see someone fall. THen i saw...it was this rather slim, quite tall looking 'chinese' girl (arnd 1.7...wooo!) and she was REALLY pretty!!! Long hair, fair skin, pretty face and all. Me and my fren were like, oh man is she our missing grp mate? the viet girl?? TUrns out, she WAS!!!!

Hey did anyone catch Richel's debut in acting? He was the male prostitute who was charged for murder. Richel, a gigolo how contradicting. His passion for "hot young things" is reflected on his blog. He was in 3 scenes. 1 was wif the lawyer ... 2 was in the court .. 3 was in the prison talking to the mother. Well, he wasn't so bad lah. Coming back to school, boring day at school for all of us. The lecturer was talking about multi processing by using a analogy to many pple queueing up for the toilet. Wat the heck got the toilet got to do wif the internal workings of the CPU. Sian . He say if toilet in jurong crowded, go to the toilet in changi... dun know wat crap he was blabbling about..

Days of our Lives - Day 1 out of .. see how first

Cheers, to the birth of this blog. My first blog somemore. Blogging meant reading richel's blog and laughing. Other than that, had no interest in it. Actually days of our lives supposed to be a story which qiu rui supposed to write 1 yr ago.. till now, no progress. This is a real - life synopsis of the happenings of our life (our stands for me, qiu rui, kelvin, ruijie and others in ntu like Ah poon, tian fu, leonard, jimmy lin <-new addition + frens frm the places down the road).
Starting off with our lead cast, people know him as MAN, weighing at 180 pounds the one and only Kelvin Ho.

Right now as i am writing this, Kelvin is making is move on a gal named silvia. (Point to note: Kelvin already has a galfren for the last 1.5 yrs) They are together DISCUSSING or doing DISGUSTING things i dun know.

A contradicting act by kelvin,yesterday,to the above. Place : Lecture Theatre. i was sitting to the right of kelvin. the left was empty. Then he went toilet and when he returned, there was this gal sitting on the seat left of him. He refused to sit in his place so he sat all the way at the last seat at the back of the lecture. His sms message to qiu rui was as follows " I DUN LIKE TO SIT WIF STRANGERS". We all know he is just shy. But y so scared to sit at his place?He sat at the back with no lecture notes staring blankly at the screen.

So i leave the conclusion to you. Will kelvin succeed in his attempt wif silvia? or stay true to his galfriend?
